Description
Picture the silence of the snow-covered Sancy massif, the breath of Nordic dogs in the cold air, the runners sliding over fresh powder and the Auvergne volcanoes rolling past on either side of the sled. Dog sledding in Auvergne is the winter incentive near Clermont-Ferrand that takes your colleagues into an experience very few companies ever dare to offer: polar-style gliding in the heart of the volcanoes. Rémi and Julia, passionate mushers, welcome you and their pack at the Picherande or Lac du Guéry sites for an experience no one forgets.
The activity opens with a kennel visit and a first meeting with the dogs, guided by Rémi or Julia who share their passion for sled dog mushing with infectious generosity. Equipment discovery, safety briefing and the choice of your mode of participation follow: passenger comfortably seated in the musher's sled to take in the Guéry and Sancy landscapes in complete serenity, or driver of your own team of approximately four dogs, for a more athletic version where you may well need to push on the climbs.
If snowfall doesn't allow sled use, the activity switches to dog kart, equally rich in sensation and in connection with the animals. Whatever the format, Rémi and Julia promise two hours of pure emotion in the most spectacular winter landscapes Auvergne has to offer.

Why choose Takamaka ?
Behind the Takamaka Clermont dog sledding experience are Rémi and Julia. Two mushers who know their dogs, their pack and their trails inside out, and who turn every outing into an authentic encounter between a corporate team and an animal and natural world that most people rarely get close to. With 7 years of experience in Auvergne and carefully selected musher partners, Takamaka Clermont offers one of the very few dog sledding experiences accessible to corporate groups in the Sancy massif.
The activity is designed to suit all profiles, from the passenger who simply wants to be carried along and take in the scenery to the driver who wants to take the reins and experience mushing from the inside. The kennel visit and time with the mushers before setting off are discovery moments that already build strong group cohesion, well before the dogs launch into their run.
The availability of a dog kart alternative if snowfall is insufficient guarantees that your outing will go ahead regardless, and that your colleagues will leave with unforgettable sensations whatever the weather. Takamaka Clermont manages everything end-to-end, from booking to on-the-ground supervision.
