Derived from snowboarding, wakeboarding involves standing on a board and being towed across the water by a cable attached to a boat. Your feet are attached to the board by socks. Wakesurfing, on the other hand, combines wakeboarding and surfing. Always towed, you stand on a board similar to that used for surfing. And, unlike wakeboarding, your feet aren't strapped in, and the boat's speed is slower.
