What is a Cani Rando in Auvergne?
It's a hike where you're pulled by a dog to help you get over the steepest climbs and have a great time! This is a great way to discover the Massif du Sancy or the Chaîne des Puys in Auvergne, accompanied by your faithful companion! The mushers will find you the ideal dog to help you along the steep Auvergne paths, and to ensure that the hike and the agreement go as smoothly as possible.
The activity takes place over half a day, and will be a source of laughter and memories! For some, it'll be a chance to reconnect with hiking, but for the kids, it'll be a great way to keep smiling the whole time!
And that's not all!
The Cani Rando includes a presentation of the Nordic breed dogs, a visit to the kennel, a first contact with the dogs, a chat with Rémi, your musher, about his passion for dog harnessing, and a snack on the way back!
Rémy and Julia will show you a magnificent region with volcanoes and lakes, and explain all the tricks of the dog training trade. It's up to you to lead your dog!

Where to practice?
We have 2 different practice sites for Cani Rando. You can practice in the Auvergne, in the Massif du Sancy near Picherande, or closer to the Chaîne des Puys.
How many people can we cater for?
Our Cani Randos require between 4 and 12 people.
Who can participate?
Children aged 5 and over can take part, and you don't have to be a great sportsman to enjoy a lovely walk!
When can we go?
It depends on the mushers' availability, but it must be less than 20°C for the dogs' well-being.
How long does the activity last?
The activity lasts 2h30, but you'll need to allow half a day for the visit to the kennels.
