Description

Picture the pull of the tow rope lifting you out of the water, the board finding its glide beneath your feet, and the volcanic landscapes of Auvergne rolling past on either side of the wake. Wakeboarding in Auvergne is the nautical incentive near Clermont-Ferrand that takes your colleagues out of their comfort zone and propels them onto the region's most beautiful lakes, board underfoot and a guaranteed grin. Original, packed with sensation and accessible to beginners and experienced riders alike, it is the summer activity that stays in the memory long after the seminar is over.

The session opens with a briefing led by an experienced instructor who covers all the basics and tricks of wakeboarding: how to get up out of the water, find your balance on the board, manage the boat's speed and pick your foot positions. Every participant progresses at their own pace, without pressure, in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Those who already ride can work on their moves while beginners find their style.

Once everyone is on the boat, participants take turns on the water while the others enjoy the lake scenery, cheer, commentate and capture the best riding moments and the most spectacular wipeouts. Two to two and a half hours of activity that create a unique collective dynamic, with the Auvergne volcanoes as the backdrop and the cool of the lake to close a memorable session.

How the activity works

1

Lakeside welcome and briefing

On arrival at the lake, the Takamaka Clermont instructor welcomes the group and introduces the activity. The briefing covers the essential basics of wakeboarding: how to position yourself on the board, how to get up out of the water, how to manage the boat's pull and which signals to use with the driver. Safety guidelines are shared with the whole group before anyone gets in the water.
2

First runs

Participants take their first turns in the water one by one. The instructor accompanies each attempt, corrects positions and encourages progress. For beginners, the goal is to stay upright on the board and glide for a few metres. For experienced riders, it is a chance to work on moves or explore what the boat's wake can offer.
3

The riding session

The session runs with participants alternating between their turns on the water and time on the boat as spectators and supporters for the riders in action. Falls, successes and progress are all shared in a naturally festive and convivial atmosphere.
4

Lakeside close

The session winds down with the group gathered on the lake or the bank to share impressions, videos and the best moments from the session. An informal but memorable close that extends the cohesion built on the water and leaves everyone wanting to come back.
