Description

Picture the Auvergne volcanoes rolling past under your wheels, the silence of the trails through the Parc naturel régional des Volcans d'Auvergne, the steady hum of the electric motor pushing you through the climbs and the sense of freedom that only mountain biking delivers. E-biking in Auvergne is the nature incentive near Clermont-Ferrand that opens mountain trails to everyone, regardless of age or fitness level, thanks to the electric assist on the Lapierre Overvolt TR 5.5 bikes.

Leading every outing is Tom. Tom knows his region and its volcanoes like no one else. He picks the routes, shares his stories about the territory, points out viewpoints that don't appear on maps and turns every ride into a genuine immersion in Auvergne's natural heritage. Two starting points are available depending on the format: departure from the Maison du Parc des Volcans d'Auvergne to explore the regional nature park, or departure from the Sancy massif side for its valleys and volcanic summits.

Three hours of activity, a half-day to set aside, up to 50 participants and landscapes that genuinely stop you in your tracks around every bend: e-biking is the incentive that makes people want to ride again, even those who haven't been on a bike in years. It combines a real change of scenery, a measured dose of effort and discovery of an exceptional territory in a format that is effortlessly convivial.

How the activity works

1

Welcome and bike introduction

On arrival at the departure point, Maison du Parc des Volcans d'Auvergne or Sancy side, Tom welcomes the group and introduces the Lapierre Overvolt TR 5.5 e-bikes. Everyone adjusts their bike to their size, gets familiar with the electric assist controls, gears and brakes, and takes a few metres to find their footing before the ride begins.
2

Setting off on the trails

The group heads out on the opening sections of the circuit, guided by Tom who adapts the pace to the whole group's level. The electric assist makes itself felt immediately on the climbs, making the more demanding sections accessible to everyone. Tom shares his first stories about the territory, the Parc naturel régional des Volcans d'Auvergne or the Sancy massif depending on the chosen circuit.
3

Exploring the territory in depth

The outing develops along Tom's chosen trails based on the season and the group's preferences. Panoramic stops at the puys, sections through forest, views over volcanic lakes or Sancy valleys: every circuit is different and designed to reveal the best of Auvergne on every ride. The easy camaraderie that naturally settles between colleagues on the bikes is one of the activity's most valuable outcomes.
4

Return and close

After approximately three hours on the trail, the group arrives back at the starting point in a relaxed and warm atmosphere. Bikes returned, the highlights of the ride are shared, the best moments relived, and the team cohesion built on the trails carries naturally into the rest of the seminar day.

Why choose Takamaka ?

Behind every Takamaka Clermont e-bike outing is Tom. Not an interchangeable guide, but a passionate local who knows his volcanoes inside out, who selects routes based on the weather, the season and the group's profile, and who makes every ride unique through his stories and stops at the territory's most remarkable spots. With 7 years of local experience, Takamaka Clermont has chosen the Lapierre Overvolt TR 5.5 e-bikes, reliable and high-performing machines that make a genuine difference on Auvergne's trails.

The activity is fully managed end-to-end: bikes provided, Tom on guide duty, circuits adapted to the group's pace and preferences. All you need to do is get on the bike and enjoy. The three-hour half-day format fits easily into a seminar programme, before or after other activities or a team meal.

With two departure zones, volcanoes or Sancy, and capacity for up to 50 participants, Takamaka Clermont's e-biking is one of the most complete nature incentive offerings in the region for corporate groups looking to explore Auvergne in a way that feels genuinely off the beaten track.
