Good to know

⏱️ The session lasts 3 hours of actual riding time. This is the most technically demanding format in Takamaka Clermont's e-bike range — designed for riders who want real e-enduro in Auvergne's volcanoes, not a sightseeing ride. 📍 Two departure points available: the Takamaka shop at Place du Mazet in Clermont-Ferrand, or Les Bicyclettes du Grenier at Fontanas in the commune of Orcines. Transport to the start is not included — make your own way there. 🚵 Technical level required: this session is for people who already know how to ride an MTB or bike on varied terrain. You need to be comfortable lifting out of the saddle and fully committed to descending. This is not a gentle ride — it's guided enduro. 💪 Fitness level: good general fitness required. Anyone with heart conditions, asthma or respiratory issues: bring your medication and inform the team. Recent injury: contact Takamaka before booking. 🔧 Available frame sizes: S (1m50–1m70), M (1m68–1m80), L (1m76–1m90), XL (+1m85). The full-suspension e-MTB runs the latest-generation BOSCH 625Wh motor and battery, 130 to 150mm travel suspension, and a dropper post. ✅ Included: e-MTB, helmet, repair kit, supervision by a state-qualified instructor. 🎒 Bring: a bank card and ID for the deposit, sportswear (long-sleeved top, shorts, trainers), backpack with water and snacks. ⚠️ Weather conditions and cancellation policy aren't specified — contact Takamaka on 04 73 92 83 64 or at clermont@takamaka.fr for details.

How the activity works

1

🛠️ Picking up the bike and getting kitted out

You collect your full-suspension e-enduro MTB from the Takamaka shop in Clermont-Ferrand or Les Bicyclettes du Grenier in Orcines. Your guide sets up the bike to your size (S to XL available), dials in the suspension, and checks your kit: helmet, repair kit. Bank card and ID for the deposit — and you're good to go.
2

⚡ Technical briefing and warm-up

Before hitting the trails, your guide walks you through the BOSCH 625Wh system, the assist modes, the dropper post, and the suspension setup. A short warm-up to make sure you're fully dialled in on the bike before committing to the technical Puy-de-Dôme descents.
3

🌋 3hrs of e-enduro riding through the Auvergne volcanoes

The assist pushes you up, you shred your way down. For 3 hours, your guide takes you on all-mountain enduro routes in the heart of the volcanoes from Orcines — technical singletrack, elevation, committing sections, and Chaîne des Puys views that belong entirely to this corner of Auvergne. The progression is real, the adrenaline even more so.
4

🏁 Back to base and debrief

The session wraps up at the starting point. You hand back the kit and debrief with your guide — the best lines, the progression, what's next. You head home with legs that are still burning and a strong urge to come back that you didn't necessarily see coming.

Why choose Takamaka ?

🚵 A guided e-MTB tour in the Puy-de-Dôme at all-mountain level calls for a guide who knows both the terrain and their riders — and that's exactly what Takamaka Clermont delivers. For 7 years in Clermont-Ferrand, Takamaka's state-qualified guides have mapped out the best all-mountain routes through Auvergne's volcanoes: technical descents, varied trails, panoramas that make every climb worthwhile — routes you simply won't find in a tourist guide. ⚡ Choosing e-MTBs for this half-day format is a deliberate technical decision: the assist means you can rack up more elevation and chain descents together without burning out on the climbs, maximising pure riding time. Equipment is CEN-certified, regularly maintained, and suited to all-mountain volcanic terrain. With 30 years of outdoor adventure expertise rooted in Annecy — a history built on Alpine terrain and technical riding — Takamaka's guided e-bike sessions in Clermont carry a depth of technical knowledge that's genuinely rare. 🌋 This isn't a sightseeing circuit — it's a real guided shred session in extraordinary terrain.
