⏱️ This outing covers 3 hours of actual riding time — the perfect half-day quad option in Auvergne for anyone who wants a real adventure without giving up their whole day. Two people share one quad: the driver takes the wheel while the passenger takes in the scenery. The departure point changes with the season: Montaleix in summer and Super Besse ski resort in winter, both set within the heart of the Massif du Sancy. 🪖 Your quad and helmet are provided and CEN-certified. Come dressed for it: long trousers or jeans (shorts are strictly forbidden), long sleeves, a windproof jacket, ankle-protecting footwear, and glasses. 🌧️ Good news: rain doesn't cancel the fun — some waterproofs and boots may be available on site (please confirm this directly with the Takamaka team). 🚗 A valid driving licence is required for the rider. The passenger must be at least 8 years old. A security deposit cheque will be required on the day. Transport to the site is not included — you'll need to make your own way there.

FAQ
How long does the half-day quad experience actually last?
The Aventurier format includes 3 hours of actual riding. You'll need to add a bit of time for the welcome and safety briefing at the start. It's the perfect option if you want a full-on quad experience without committing your entire day.
Do I need experience to join this 3-hour quad ride?
Not at all — no prior experience is required. The outing always starts with a supervised warm-up phase led by your instructor, tailored to your level. Whether you're a complete beginner or have ridden before, you'll be made to feel comfortable right from the start.
What's the difference between the 3H Aventurier and the other Takamaka quad options?
The 3H Duo Aventurier sits in the middle of the range: more immersive than the 2H Découverte, shorter than the full-day option. It's perfect for those who want to go beyond a quick taster without committing to a whole day on the trails. The locations and conditions are the same across all formats.
Is the half-day quad ride possible in rainy weather?
Yes — quad riding in Auvergne is perfectly doable in the rain, and a wet track even opens up some great sliding action! Some waterproofs and boots may be available on site (please check with the Takamaka team). However, extreme weather conditions may lead to cancellation — contact the team for their specific policy.
What should I bring for a half-day quad ride in Auvergne?
The quad and helmet are provided. You'll need long trousers or jeans (no shorts allowed), a long-sleeved top, a windproof jacket, ankle-protecting boots, and glasses. Don't forget your driving licence and a cheque for the security deposit.
Where does the half-day quad ride near Clermont-Ferrand take place?
The departure point depends on the season. In summer, rides start from Montaleix, near the Chaudefour Valley. In winter, they take place at Super Besse ski resort, with sweeping views across the Sancy ridgeline. Either way, the setting is exceptional.
Can I offer this half-day quad ride as a gift?
Absolutely. Takamaka Clermont offers gift vouchers directly online. The 3H Duo Aventurier makes a brilliant gift for couples, friends, stag and hen dos, or anyone who loves the outdoors and a bit of adrenaline — all without needing a full day free.
Is transport to the start point included in the €160 price?
No — transport is not included. You'll need to make your own way to Montaleix in summer or Super Besse in winter. Contact the Takamaka Clermont team on 04 73 92 83 64 or at clermont@takamaka.fr for precise directions and meeting point details.
