Description

Somewhere between a mountain bike and a quad bike sits the Quad Bike: a four-wheeled vehicle powered by your legs and an electric motor, designed to explore Auvergne's trails in a way that is fun, comfortable and genuinely accessible to everyone. No combustion engine noise, no fumes, just the wind, the volcanoes stretching out ahead of you and the freedom to roll through paths that very few vehicles can reach. Riding your own Quad Bike, you discover the Auvergne landscape around the Lac de la Cassière, Murol or Besse, in a natural setting of rare quality.

The electric assist makes riding accessible regardless of fitness level. Four wheels and powerful brakes provide reassuring stability, even on descents or uneven ground. Each rider handles their own vehicle, accompanied throughout by an experienced guide who adapts the route to the group's level and preferences. Circuits are tailored to your needs: varied terrain, adjustable difficulty levels, flexible duration between 1h30 and 2 hours.

Quad Bike can be practised year-round, summer and winter, with no driving licence required. It is the nature incentive near Clermont-Ferrand that opens Auvergne to every profile, from the most athletic colleague to the participant who hasn't been on a bike in years. An original and memorable way to experience the territory from a completely different angle.

How the activity works

1

Welcome and vehicle introduction

On arrival at the departure point, Lac de la Cassière, Murol or Besse depending on the chosen circuit, the Takamaka Clermont guide welcomes the group, hands out helmets and introduces the Quad Bikes. A technical briefing covers the controls, how the electric assist works, the brakes and the safety guidelines. Everyone climbs aboard and takes their first turns at low speed before the ride begins.
2

Setting off and getting comfortable

The group heads out on the first sections of the circuit at the guide's pace, getting used to riding on trail terrain. The electric assist makes itself felt quickly on the climbs and the four-wheel stability is immediately reassuring. The guide adjusts the pace to suit everyone's profile.
3

The ride through the Auvergne landscape

The circuit unfolds through trails, forests and volcanic panoramas across Auvergne. Volcanoes, lakes, meadows and open views follow one another throughout the route. The guide provides commentary on the landscapes and ensures the ride runs smoothly for every participant.
4

Return and close

The group makes its way back to the starting point at the end of the circuit. Returning the vehicles is the natural moment for everyone to share their impressions, their surprises and their favourite stretches of the Auvergne trails, in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

Quad Bike is one of the very few regional incentive activities that is accessible to everyone without a licence, with no specific fitness requirements and no prior experience needed. The electric assist levels the playing field and allows every participant to engage with the experience fully, whether they cycle regularly or not. Takamaka Clermont provides all equipment, from the vehicles to the helmets, for a fully managed and hassle-free experience.

Usable year-round and environmentally respectful thanks to its electric motor, Quad Bike aligns with Takamaka Clermont's eco-responsible commitment to offering nature experiences that protect the natural sites they pass through. It can be paired with other incentive activities to build a complete seminar programme in Auvergne.
