Description

Picture the clear water of an Auvergne lake sliding beneath your feet, summer sun full in your face, and your entire team gathered on a single giant paddle board, paddling in unison just to stay upright. Paddle Géant is the nature incentive near Clermont-Ferrand that turns the simple act of standing up into a collective challenge of balance, coordination and guaranteed laughter. With a board that holds up to 10 people, team cohesion is not optional: it is a matter of survival.

Depending on your group's preferences and profiles, the activity can be run in discovery mode or competition mode, with balance, speed and agility challenges set by the Takamaka Clermont facilitators. Every event calls for coordination, communication and team spirit. And yes, a few involuntary dives into the water are generally part of the experience. Set on the navigable lakes of Auvergne, with their calm waters and volcanic panoramas, the setting matches the experience.

Individual paddle boards are also available for those who prefer to find their footing at their own pace before joining the collective dynamic. A quintessential summer activity, Paddle Géant brings together up to 50 participants for two hours of refreshing, convivial incentive, genuinely rooted in the Auvergne landscape.

How the activity works

1

Lakeside welcome and equipment introduction

On arrival at the lake, the Takamaka Clermont facilitators welcome the group and introduce the boards, both giant and individual. A quick briefing covers the basics of paddle board navigation, water safety guidelines and how to use the boards. Everyone gets comfortable in a relaxed atmosphere before the boards hit the water.
2

Discovery phase and getting the feel

Participants climb onto the boards and begin navigating freely on the lake. The first steps on a giant paddle board are often the moment the first proper laughs kick in: finding collective balance when ten people share the same board takes a bit of coordination and a lot of good humour.
3

Team games and challenges

Once everyone has found their footing, the facilitators introduce balance, speed and agility challenges to bring out the competitive and cohesive side of the activity. The events call for communication, synchronisation and genuine team spirit. A few unplanned dives into the lake are generally part of the programme.
4

Back to shore and close

After approximately two hours on the water, the groups make their way back to the bank. The return to dry land is usually filled with lively conversation, stories of the best aquatic moments and a well-earned collective sense of achievement after a nature incentive session in Auvergne.

Why choose Takamaka ?

With 7 years of experience in Auvergne and an intimate knowledge of its lakes and waterways, Takamaka Clermont knows how to select sites that combine safety, accessibility and natural beauty. Auvergne's navigable lakes offer an exceptional setting for a water-based activity right in the heart of volcanic territory, a world away from a generic watersports venue.

The activity is fully managed end-to-end: site selection, paddle board provision, team game facilitation and participant supervision. Our professional facilitators ensure that every group, whether in discovery or competition mode, gets two intense and memorable hours on the water. The equipment is suitable for all profiles, including complete beginners.

Paddle Géant accommodates up to 50 participants and can be built into a broader day or seminar programme. A naturally summer activity, it pairs perfectly with other incentives or a corporate evening organised by Takamaka Clermont to create a bespoke day in Auvergne that stays in the memory.
