Description

Picture your teams tearing across a human curling track, clinging to their sleds in a frantic relay race, or laser-focused on a blowpipe target under a crisp winter sky. Challenge des Neiges is the winter team building experience in Clermont-Ferrand that turns a corporate seminar into an unforgettable alpine adventure. Set at one of Auvergne's ski resorts, your colleagues go head-to-head in a convivial, high-energy atmosphere, surrounded by snow-covered volcanic landscapes of stunning beauty.

The programme features a string of events inspired by the greatest winter Olympic disciplines: sled relay, snow sculpting, ARVA avalanche beacon search, ice hockey, giant slalom, blowpipe shooting, snow golf, human curling, biathlon... Each challenge is a fresh opportunity to bring teams together, reveal unexpected leaders and spark memories that will last long after the last run. Athletic ability is beside the point: what matters is commitment, strategy and team spirit.

And because you tackle a challenge better when you're warm and well-fed, Takamaka Clermont sets up a permanent refreshment station throughout the event: mulled wine, water, fruit juice, soft drinks, coffee, tea and cake are all waiting for you at the start area. Fuel up, warm up, and get back out there for the next event 🏆.

How the activity works

1

Welcome and team briefing

On arrival at the resort, the Takamaka Clermont mountain team gives a warm welcome, runs through the rules and safety guidelines, and presents the event programme. Teams are formed and everyone receives their station rotation instructions.
2

Challenge station rotation

Teams spread across the different events and go head-to-head in turn across the full range of challenges: sled relay, snow sculpting, ice hockey, human curling, giant slalom, blowpipe shooting, snow golf, biathlon, ARVA beacon search... A dedicated facilitator runs each station, tracks performance and keeps the competitive spirit alive with energy and humour.
3

Permanent refreshments and building momentum

Throughout the challenge, the refreshment station at the start area stays open: mulled wine, drinks and cake help every team recharge between events. The live leaderboard keeps the tension high until the very last station. Fair warning: the mountain facilitators can hand out penalty points for unsportsmanlike conduct.
4

Awards ceremony and close

At the end of the challenge, a final leaderboard is drawn up and the top teams are celebrated at a convivial prize-giving. A moment of collective connection to round off an extraordinary day in an exceptional winter setting.

FAQ

Does the activity require snow, or is there an alternative version?

Challenge des Neiges is a winter activity that requires adequate snow cover at the chosen resort. If conditions are unfavourable around your date, contact Takamaka Clermont to find out what alternatives are available.

Are the same events used for all group sizes?

The event catalogue is broad (sled relay, biathlon, human curling, ice hockey, giant slalom, blowpipe shooting, snow sculpting, snow golf, ARVA search...) and the selection can be tailored to your group size, participant profiles and event objectives.

Are refreshments included for all participants?

Yes. A permanent refreshment station is set up by Takamaka Clermont throughout the challenge, with mulled wine, a range of drinks and cake available to all participants.

Can Challenge des Neiges be incorporated into a wider corporate seminar?

Absolutely. The activity fits naturally into a full seminar day or weekend. Takamaka Clermont can advise on combining it with other winter activities or an evening event.

Do the penalty points actually get handed out during the challenge?

Yes, and that's part of the fun. The mountain facilitators genuinely can penalise teams for unsportsmanlike conduct, keeping the fair-play spirit alive and generating more than a few guaranteed laughs along the way.
