Description

Aboard motorboats, your teams set off to conquer the world. Structured as a nautical orienteering rally, The Great Navigators takes you along the Silk Road, the Route to the Indies or the New Western Lands, depending on the chosen scenario. Each participant has a clearly defined role: admiral, captain, cartographer, negotiator or deckhand. The success of the expedition rests on everyone's shoulders.

On board, crews must find their bearing using navigation instruments, solve riddles, take on physical challenges and trade gold with the locals. Auvergne's lakes, surrounded by lush landscapes and dormant volcanoes, provide an exceptional natural setting for this one-of-a-kind collective adventure.

The day closes in style with a prize-giving ceremony and a boat aperitif on the water, lulled by the lapping waves and the colours of the lake at dusk. An unforgettable lake team building experience in Auvergne, with 8 people per boat.

How the activity works

1

Welcome and role assignment

Teams are formed and each participant is assigned their on-board role: admiral, captain, cartographer, negotiator or deckhand. The expedition scenario is presented by the Takamaka host.
2

All aboard and setting sail

Crews board the motorboats. A Takamaka host pilot takes their place on each vessel. The expedition gets underway.
3

Orientation and navigation

Using navigation instruments, crews find their bearing, follow the expedition route and locate the next stops on Auvergne's lakes.
4

Riddles, challenges and trading

At each stop, crews solve riddles, take on physical challenges and trade with the locals to barter gold and rack up valuable points.
5

Boat aperitif and prize-giving

Expedition over, all vessels regroup on the lake for the boat aperitif. Scores are revealed, prizes awarded and glasses raised against a backdrop of lake and volcanoes.
