Description

Feel the engine vibrating through your hands, navigate the bends of a mountain track, follow the ridgelines of the Sancy massif with the puy de Dôme in the background: that is what Takamaka Clermont offers with quad biking in Auvergne. A different way to explore the territory, aboard powerful and agile machines, on trails that reveal the region's finest volcanic panoramas. Up to 50 participants, all sharing the same sense of open-road freedom.

The route adapts to the season. In summer, the ride sets off from Montaleix for trails through the Sancy area, close to the Vallée de Chaudefour. In winter, the departure point shifts to the Super-Besse ski resort, climbing up to the ridgelines for sweeping views across the entire massif. Three duration options are available to suit your schedule and seminar programme: 1h30, 2h45 or a full day.

Two riders can share a quad, making the activity accessible even to participants without a driving licence, as long as the designated rider holds one. Good humour, shared moments and a genuine sense of freedom are what define this quad incentive near Clermont-Ferrand, rain or shine, with wet-track slides adding their own particular charm.

How the activity works

1

Welcome and technical briefing

On arrival at the departure point, Montaleix in summer or Super-Besse in winter, the Takamaka Clermont guides welcome the group, hand out helmets and equipment, and run through the safety and riding briefing. Every participant gets to grips with their quad's controls before hitting the trail.
2

Setting off and getting comfortable

The group heads out onto the first sections of track to get used to the feel of the machine, how to handle corners and how to read the terrain. The guides adjust the pace to suit the group's profiles so that everyone is confident before taking on the more demanding sections.
3

The ride through the Sancy massif

The group climbs and follows the itineraries selected for the season and chosen duration. The volcanic panoramas reveal themselves gradually, from narrow valleys to open ridgelines stretching to the horizon. Good humour and a genuine sense of freedom are guaranteed, whether the sun is out or the rain is coming down.
4

Return and close

The ride ends back at the departure point. It is the moment for everyone to share their impressions, their riding stories and their best near-misses of the day, in a warm and relaxed atmosphere that naturally extends the shared experience.

Why choose Takamaka ?

With 7 years of experience in Auvergne and an intimate knowledge of the Sancy massif, Takamaka Clermont selects routes that combine the thrill of riding with access to panoramas that very few activities can reach. Whether it is the summer trails around Montaleix or the winter ridgelines of Super-Besse, every itinerary is designed to make the most of the territory and the season.

The activity is fully managed end-to-end: route selection based on the season, helmet and rain gear provision, supervision by experienced guides and a technical briefing suited to all levels. Our facilitators make sure that every participant, whether a seasoned quad rider or a complete beginner, comes away feeling like they genuinely conquered the Sancy.

The quad ride scales to groups of up to 50 and offers three duration options to fit any seminar schedule. It can be paired with other incentive activities or a corporate evening organised by Takamaka Clermont to build a complete day or weekend in Auvergne.
